International Human Trafficking: An Historical Perspective and Relevancy to the Heartland
A practice more ancient than the pyramids, human trafficking continues today. Patrick Atkinson, founder of Institute for Trafficked, Exploited & Missing Persons (ITEMP), will begin the conversation with an historical overview of human trafficking and an update on the current worldwide situation. Then Clay Jenkinson and Larry Skogen will discuss with Mr. Atkinson the humanities implications of these activities, particularly in the Great Plains.
